On July 28, a summer social practice team from Ocean University of China (OUC), accompanied by officials from the Penglai District Youth League Committee and the Penglai District Marine Development and Fisheries Bureau, visited Penglai Huiyang Foodstuff Co., Ltd. for an on-site research tour on the marine industry.

The OUC team toured our production workshops, testing center, and product showroom, and held a seminar focusing on two key research topics: high-value utilization of aquatic by-products and development of marine-origin pet feed ingredients, with discussions centered on deepening industry-university-research collaboration.

Mr. Zhu Fujiang, Youth League Committee Secretary of OUC's College of Food Science and Engineering, engaged in in-depth discussions on current industry challenges, particularly in deep-sea food processing and by-product resource utilization. Representatives from the Marine Bureau and Youth League Committee also shared insights on regional industry development, university-enterprise collaboration, and talent exchange.

This activity further strengthened the ties between our company and OUC's College of Food Science and Engineering. Our company leadership introduced Huiyang Group's integrated marine industry chain covering deep-sea fishing, food manufacturing, and shipbuilding – while reviewing past collaborative projects with OUC. We also put forward our needs for industrial technology upgrading and product innovation, expressing our sincere hope for deeper industry-university-research cooperation in research and technology transformation.

We sincerely thank the Penglai Youth League Committee and the Marine Bureau for bringing OUC faculty and students to Huiyang Foods. It was a great pleasure to engage with these talented young scholars. We wish the OUC students every success in their academic pursuits and future careers, and we look forward to working together to drive the marine food industry to new heights.
